Looking into Mexico

From the top of the Holiday Inn, cars from NdeM (later TFM) are straddling the Rio Grande while being inspected at Laredo, Texas. Later UP or the Tex-Mex would come drag them into their respective yards. It was a very SLOW process that would bog down this busy port of entry. Laredo is the shortest rail distance to Mexico City. This was the view of 1992.
