Lazy Weekend at Rye

The lone power for the Lewis & Clark Railroad pauses for a weekend at Rye. This locomotive features the "Seahawk" stripe on the side.
They use to call them the Red Pelican Express in Pasco!
Kind of like there owners, chickens!
Hahahaha!

Great shot...

For what it's worth the Lewis & Clark no longer operates that railroad...the LINC died when the Temple family outbid them for the operating contract for the line. I'm not sure if the Temple family has a new name for the railroad or not...it might be run as a division of their Columbia Basin Railroad...

I got a cab ride on this unit while it was switching Boise Cascade in Yakima. It was WCRC 211 then.
