In the Hole

The long harvested cornfields of western Indiana set the stage for NS 34N with 5 units, as it crawls down to the east end of Johnsonville siding to hold for 255, a westbound Triple Crown train. Shortly after the 34N came to a stop, the 25G would creep in behind him after getting permission from the NS Decatur dispatcher to pass the stop signal at the west end. 3 way meets seem to be common on the Lafayette District with another one witnessed later in the day
