Hogback Bridge

An NJ TRANSIT MU crosses the Hogback Bridge(now dimantled and replaced) in NW New Jersey.
The bridge was on the Gladstone Branch of the Morris & Essex Lines.
The bridge was replaced just recently with a new one. The project preparation took a couple years, but the bridge was physically cut out by iron workers and replaced overnight. The new bridge was staged right next to the old one and was sitting on a ball bearing mechanism to simply slide the new bridge into place.
I will post a couple pics from this operation. It was a long, cold and rainy night, but well worth it.

Thanks, Do you know the MP or what town it was near. I used to work all around that area and ride the branch once in a while. Thanks again

Thanks, that was at the far end of my run. Didn;t get out there to much, but once in a while. Used to be a grat train ride out to Gladstone. Lots of wild life.
