Here a couple from the Harbor Belt Line RR in Wilmington,CA. The HBL is the predecesseor to todays Pacific Harbor Lines. The person shown in the one photo is Marvin Smith, a Pacific Electric Engineer, Conductor, Brakeman and Fireman. I worked with Marv over the years when one time he would be the Engineer and the next day he'd be my Conductor and maybe a week later he would be the Engineer again.
Hmmmmmmmm..........something doesn't look quite right with this photo. I just can't put my finger on it......let me think. Hmmmm..........nope. It escapes me. I can't figure it out.

Check out the opening scene of the Halicki film "GONE IN 60 SECONDS". Did the film maker take advantage of a local derailment or was this a possed wreck?

Fishnmack,
It was not a staged photo. The person standing at the engine is the PE hoghead who was involved in the derailment. I don't remember the exact year but it was around mid to late 60's. The hogheads name was Marv Smith.
