Taken along the former East Tennessee & Western North Carolina Railroad (3 foot) grade through the Doe River gorge near Hampton, Tennessee. This was a very popular photo spot during their excursions in the 1930s. After taking this photo, I found a photo taken from the exact same location (photographer unknown) in the 30s, which dropped right into the scene.
