On Sept 15, 2005 Shepherd Tx MPBSR-13 STRUCK HEAD ON TRAIN LEF52-14 WHICH WAS PARKED ON A SIDING, RESULTING IN A DERAILMENT WITH A FATALITY AND INJURIES. UP#1385 was scrapped on the spot while UP#1458 was scrapped later in Cleveland, Tx The rear end of 1458 was demolished by UP 1385 being hit head on and compacting 1458. The end of 2 motors and Engineer G.Y. Bailey's life.
