Unlike most Carlton Trail GP10s, this unit worked on the Meadow Lake line Ive seen photos of him sandwiched by two ex-CN GP40-2LWs taken a couple years ago. When the mill closed & line became derelict, he rejoined the other Geeps at Prince Albert.

Originally a Texas and New Orleans Railroad unit (merged with Southern Pacific), purchased from SP in 1997, he worked on the Carlton Trail until 1999, returning in 2001 after a stint on the Manufactures Railway. CTRW had one more such engine - 3764, former SP 5795 transferred to HBR, now derelict as well with 3787 & 3788 (ex-SP 5739 & 5782) that went to HBR directly from NBSR (5 more former SP GP9Es transferred to other OmniTRAX shortlines: ex-T&NO 439, SP 5769, 5780, 5734 & 5768)

The engine was scrapped on October 9, 2012 alongside ghosts 1020 & 1040 that have been sitting dormant since at least 2007.
Nice catch, this locomotive stands as a symbol of what Omnitrax really is. A visual adaption, if you will.

Talked to CTRW the other day when I was in getting some pics of the GP30, they said this unit may go down to the states for parts at some point.
