Following close behind

This image of UP 8487 following another UP intermodal train illustrates the way things were running in Cajon Pass Saturday. It was a busy day in the pass.
Jeez! I would think they would hold him until the train in front of him had cleared the block. UP must have a diffrent way of running things.
 
First, thanks for the comments and ratings. I believe that BNSF controls the train movents in Cajon, and yes, the two trains were in the same block. We saw several movement this way for up hill trains, both BNSF and UP. This image happened to catch two UP trains. The lead UP train was right on the tail of a BNSF train. We saw almost fifty trains between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. It was an incredible day all around.
