While taking charge of our train for our return trip to our home terminal I snapped this one while the carmen finished our 1000 mile brake test. On the left is where loaded coal trains are handled before heading west on the mainline, to the right is where empty coal trains off the mountain sub are switched and brake tested before heading to one of five coal mines in southeastern BC. The Kicking Horse Ski Resort is on the mountain ridge in the background.
