CITX 3066 SD40-2

This SD40 started life in 1966 as CNW 889 after being traded in for CNW 5014A, a E7A of 1947 vintage. Retired in 1991, he joined the lease world as NRE 889. Rebuild by Alstom as GCFX 3066 (note the small ALSTOM logo) the engine worked for CSX before being leased to CP. The reporting marks changed again after being purchased by CIT. Interestingly sister engine 3058, who was in town recently as well working wayfreights, does not have the dark green patch job.
I was in Sutherland last weekend all they had was CP 3061 who was parked in Brandon last time I seen her and two GP9u's.
