Chichester Deviation

On 7 April 2011, the Chichester Deviation on the BHPBilliton Iron Ore railroad in Western Australia opened for traffic. The new route has a ruling grade of 0.33% compared with 0.57% of the existing route. Normal operation will be empty traffic on the existing line with loaded trains on the new route.

SD70ACe 4350 leads the first revenue train up the new line.
Bill,

My feet were on terra firma. I am at a lookout on the next cut which is higher than the ones the train is passing through.

Cheers
