Westbound ConRail freight RISE grinds upgrade past MP 129 in Becket, MA. on Oct. 31, 1981. RISE origionated in Providence, RI. hence the symbol RISE---Rhode Island to SElkirk. After ConRail gave up all the freight service in that state to the Providence & Worcester in early 1982, the job "bummed around", origionating at several differant locations, beginning with Readville, MA. as RESE, then out of South Braintree as SBSE till late 1985, when it shifted to Middleboro as MBSE.
