About a half hour later, another eastbound clambers over the summit in Charlton at 11:00. C30-7A 6573 has SEFR in tow. Sharp-eyed observers may note a slight differance in the appearance of the front end of the 6573 and 6557. That's because the 6557, as the lead unit of an eastbound set of light power, rear-ended TV-6 in late 1985. Evidently, ConRail didn't have any "stock" C30-7A noses on hand, so borrowed one from a C30-7, which has the mounting plate for extra lights. The 6557 also got a new set of number boards with a smaller-than-usual set of numerals, giving it a one-of-kind appearance.
