Celebration Freight

In September 2005, NSW celebrated 150 years of railway history. 1887 vintage 4-4-0 No.1709 was specially restored for the celebrations as were a number of old 4-wheeled goods wagons. With a re-creation of a steam-era freight train, 1709 prepares to leave Thirlmere station (the home of the Rail Transport Museum) south of Sydney.
