Just above the frame, it says Manufactured 12-05. What was ALSTOM thinking? Before becoming CEFX 3106 nee GCFX same #, this was CN 5144, SD40 built by GMD in 1970 (retired 1998, to Progress Rail). ALSTOM has rebuild close a hundred former CN SD40s, with most of them leased back to CN (GCFX 6000/WC 6900 series & GTW 5900 series nee KCS 6600s), this one ended up on the wrong side of town however CP Sutherland shops!

Nope, not really exited about those units as I've been seeing them on CP for years, even on CN out East! I should post some photos...
