Cape Gauge Meeting

Two Tranz Metro DMUs meet on the Northern Island Main Trunk Line in bright New Zealand sunlight with Auckland skyline as background.
Roni,

Not sure when you captured the photo but Auckland's suburban network has been a Connex (now Veolia) operation for a number of years. TranzMetro, a division of TollRail (previously TranzRail) is the operator of the Wellington commuter services.

Loco in the background is a Toll Rail GE U10B (class DH).

Regards,

John

Hi John,

You are right, I just mentioned Toll Rail in the keywords. At the time of this scene (February 2004) it still was Tranz Rail.

Greetings,
Roni
