BOYLSTON TUNEL, View West 1977

WE MADE IT!

Only had to double to Boylston once in my short railroad career. That was on a westbound.

Note inscription about entrance, if you can read it:
"C.M. & P.S." for the Chicago, Milwaukee & Puget Sound. When the Milwaukee built its transcon line, it built from seven or so locations at once and chartered separate companies in various states. Later it was all consolidated into the "Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific." Only one other road had its own rails all the way from Chicago to the Coast (Canadians not included).
