Big Reno

Big Reno was a well known departure track and switching lead in SP's east end yard at Roseville, CA. Trains would use it when beginning their trip to Reno, NV via Donner Pass. EB trains for Portland Oregon would use the "Little Reno"; a maze of x-overs to reach the beginning of the East Valley Line. X 8489 East is charging the air on the Big Reno while a yard job is using the lead to drill cars.
