Southern Pacific 2472 splits a pair of semaphore signals at Sunol, California this morning on its way for a meet with UP 844. There was nary a foamer there as most were in Oakland with the 844. it was a real treat to have the 2472 all to myself for one run-by.
Wow!!! Not a railfan around for a SP steam shot with a semaphore blade!!! How lucky can you get..?? Awesome job there, Sam.

Very good shot of the steam & semaphores. Very good location with background and such. You don't/won't see that in West Texas....except on a model railroad!!
