"APPROACH RESTRICTING"

FURX 7935 leading an eastbound MOW train gets the Yellow over Lunar signal to take the Skykomish,WA
siding a few miles ahead.
Great shot of the yellow/lunar, Joe! I wonder why the F 40 since the P-30, F-25 is supposed to be the passenger and freight speed limits (at least for the GN). They just didn't take the old signs down?

Could not figure that out myself Ron.Next time I'm up that way,if I see anyone around the section house,I'll ask about it.

GN_Fan,

The "F-40" is the speed for Freights.. Passenger can go 45 mph through that area.. The slanted "P-30" & "F-25" are advance speed reduction warnings.. Someone told me how far these were put in advance of the speed reduction, but I can't recall right now.. Basically, the passenger (Amtrak's EB) and freights ready for the 2.2% grade upcoming..
