An early experiment in soundproofing

SP 9500, freshly out of a GRIP rebuild, rests at Dunsmuir, California during the summer of 1986. In a short time, the unit was renumbered to 6767 in anticipation of the SPSF merger. Despite the efforts of the crew, the unit would not start.
