AMTK 705/701 P32AC-DM

Note the old VIA coach in the bottom picture - this could pass off as Canadian content lol.

While both these trains are Empire State Services, I did take the AMTRAK/VIA Maple Leaf (NYC - Toronto) at one point, the train looks identical except a P42DC was leading and he had a couple more cars (six). I'm surprised they changed the engine on it as only P32s are allowed into Penn station.

The P42s are a minority among the sea of AMTK/MNCR/CDOT P32s on the Hudson line, usually found on the Boston - Chicago 49r. I took that train as well - 1,500 miles in all, mostly on AMTRAK "locals" out of Albany, during my one week vocation this summer.
