AFT 1

AFT 1

AFT #1 AT BETHLEHEM, PA IN 1976. THE T-1'S GOT AROUND AS MUCH AFTER LIFE ON THE READING AS THEY DID DURING.
What a wonderful shot! It brings back some memories for me. In the summer of '76 I worked on the engine crew for a few months. I was just a kid, got all the grunt jobs like washing down the engine and both tenders every time we stopped, but it was great and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't on the train in Bethlehem, but it looks exactly like I remember it. I think it must have been there shortly before I started.

Thanks for the note. Posting on some web sites has gotten me back through almost 30 years of photography that has been stored with the exception of an occasional slide show.
