There are only a few Stack-pac's in existance. This one still houses MoW material in the lost oasis of Sanderson, TX.
Don't forget the old SP water car they got stored out there that was built in 1943, and let's just hope that there's a chance to fix up the old passenger depot out there someday, before that place just collapses on itself. Oh yeah, and be sure to hit the Roundhouse Cafe when you through Sanderson, they make some pretty good food.

I was looking through some pics I took as a kid in Corsicana, Texas the other day and noticed a stack pack in most of them. I think it has been gone since the UP takeover, but I had completely forgotten about it. Good to see some still around.

Yes, Sanderson has some relics, but it will only be a matter of time when the UP Big Wheels order every building knocked down and anything with wheels hauled off. I expect a freak twister to flatten the depot. It's not long for this world.

A twister? In THAT area of Texas?? Nah, odds are a flash flood would get it if the levees they built since the last major flood hit that town don't hold.
