Had a chance to get trackside yesterday afternoon in Tolono IL (technically east of Chicago, but not that far so I ask your indulgence in allowing me to post here in my usual place
).
Right out of the gate, I missed a nb CN manifest, but saw this NS wb RoadRailer awaiting its turn to cross the diamond. I thought NS had done away with these, but I was happy to catch this one.
Afterwards, I caught a couple of manifests made up of primarily automobile related cars, lots of 89' boxes and racks. As an aside, there was a parked DS60i on the nb wye lead. Although I don't visit this area as often as I did when stationed at Chanute AFB, it's the first time I've seen power set out like this.
