I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this thread. If I get no responses, I'll try another one.

This questions is for members who are engineers and firemen. Does night time, track side flash photography blind you? I have taken flash photos of trains passing MP 18 at night and wondered if the flashes could actually blind the engineer and fireman. While there is no danger of them steering the train off the tracks like a blinded driver of an automobile; as a matter of decency, I would not want to cause them any physical discomfort or harm.
