A foggy mid morning provides a ghostly atmosphere for this morning's Simpson run to Mill 5. The 1201 has around 40 log cars in tow with two engines pushing on the rear. (edit: new crop submitted 12/07/2011)
At Mill 3 on the Shelton Waterfront Simpson's 1200 switches lumber loads that were brought earlier in the morning from Mill 5 behind STC 900. Goldsborough Creek runs through the property and empties into Oakland Bay. Thanks to Simpson Railroad for access onto the property.
Emerging from the woods and into the sunshine the 1200 crosses Goldsborough Creek on a frosty morning nearing its destination at Mill 3. Would'a been perfect if it weren't for the darn shadow!
On the wind-up with the mid day log train to Mill 5, the 1200 is pulling a train of empty log cars and two ballast loads. The 1201 will bring up the rear as the pusher. Reason(s) for Rejection:

The 1201 waits for permission to leave the loading dock with a log train destined for Mill 5. The fog was persistent in Shelton, still hanging on by 10 AM. Date is Feb 15th, 2010, Simpson RR.
