I thought I've seen a lot of junk at the scrap yard, but this one is still working! I think its still used in Revenue service, thus isn't even MOW! Judging by the freshly applied rpeorting marks (now visible well here), it and about a dozen hoppers just like it, will be rolling for a long time...
One old rusty Conrail Coil-Shield rolls by behind the 8800 hp. From what I could understand, this train was headed for New Castle and on to Pittsburgh, Maryland etc.
Being a big rolling stock fan I searched throuhg my collection of a couple hundred "beaten" car shots and this is still the best IMHO. Whether it's SOO's white paint that exposes all the rust or the cars longivity, these boxcars can be found everywhere, often in this livery.
