CSX Q617 snakes off of the A&WP/WofA Sub and enters the M&M Sub headed South past Union Station in Montgomery, AL. Taken from Overlook Park, this is a great location for shooting CSX trains converging here from the S&NA Sub, the M&M Sub, the Dothan Sub, and the A&WP Sub...
A very long string of loaded coal hoppers heads south past Union Station on CSX Train U238 in Montgomery, AL. This zoom shot was taken from Overlook Park which is up on a high bluff overlooking the tracks and the Alabama River.
The Alabama River and it's tree lined banks make a great backdrop for the views of the tracks from Overlook Park in downtown Montgomery, AL. Here the lead engine of CSX Train Q602 passes between the photographer and the Alabama River heading into the yard around the bend of the river.
The early morning sun bounces off of the side of CSX Y303 as it heads by the beautifully restored train shed at Union Station in Montomery, AL. The shot was taken at Overlook Park, a great location up on a bluff overlooking the CSX tracks and the Alabama River below.
CSX Train Y303 has just pulled under the I-65 bridge over the Alabama River and the tracks as it heads towards Union Station in downtown Montgomery, AL. The Kudzu between Overlook Park (where this shot was taken) and the tracks are the thickest I have ever seen it this year.
This train, seen in Flomaton, AL, is on the M&M Sub heading North as is slows to enter the PD Sub for a trip down to Pensacola, FL. The train would have to stop on the South leg of the wye to wait for a North bound MTY coal train to exit the PD Sub and enter the M&M Sub on the North leg...
CSX T110-28 MTY coal train heads fast through South Alabama in the town of Pollard. This view shows the train heading North on the M&M Subdivision after coming off of the PD Subdivision in Flomaton.
This is the Ferromex 4640 seen on the point of a CSX train in Montgomery, AL on April 10, 2007. The shots were taken in the CSX (L&N) Yard on the S&NA Subdivison and also leaving the yard as it entered the M&M Sub toward Mobile.
