    Roundhouse at Itozaki

    The roundhouse is a large class at Itozaki. In 1969, there were 22 steam locomotives (D51x7, C62x8, C59x3, C50x4) at Itozaki engine house. In 1970, JNR had 2258 steam locomotives and many roundhouses. But until 1976, all steam locomotives retired and almost roundhouses were pulled down.
