Westbound 6SA3 climbs around the curve at Locksley NSW a much easier grade the tain having climbed the 20 miles of 3% on the Blue Mountains. Howeve some 2.5% grades are still ahead for this brief service.
Westbound ASR once per week interstater 6SA3 at Locksley NSW on Main West. This train only ran briefly via the Blue Mountains due to the 3% grades requiring heaps of power. ASR no longer exists as such. From Sydney to Adelaide.
Greg, this is the only roster (kind of) shot I have of ASR CLP13, taken at the Dry Creek loco depot in Adelaide, South Australia. I had to sneak around the side of the building to grab this hasty shot "while nobody was looking".

Last night while at work (yeh more backshift) another crew mentioned spying an ASR train hiding down in Browns yard covered in the frost. Sure enough, as I drove home at 3 am, it was still hiding there covered in the heavy frost. But, when I drove up that way after sunrise, it had vanished...
Due to Menangle bridge being closed to traffic, Chuck's train 6SA3 has to journey via the Main West and climb the Blue Mountains and Great Divide. Hence no less than 15000 hp of orange and black ASR bulldogs up front.
