How can something from 1985 evoke memories that are usually associated with the real "old days"?! Twenty two years ago! My oh my! Really nice photo.
-
Great light. Nice composition.
-
That's a great shot! It would make a good video too (youtube anyone?)
-
A nice study. I should get out to Exeter and start taking photos again.
-
This shot has earned the right to be inducted into the Classic List!
-
I know exactly where you were standing. Great shot.
-
You'll always get a ten from me for a shot like this!
-
Great shot man! It's good to see all those BC Rail locos still on home rails!
-
I assume that you were on the BNSF branch of the bridge leads. Great shot! Must have used a long lens too. Rare vantage spot for sure.
-
My God! This is where they ended up? Lordy! How gruesome! IMHO, 3607 in the BC Rail lightning stripe paint is more "rare" than a run-of-the-mill Cat RS18 rebuild. But thanks anyway for letting me see this.

Interesting; two different type faces for the number boards. Is this common?
-
It's great to see those coal burning locomotives again! :)
-
Great shot. Nature supplied the sky but you added the building and with it, a sense of place. A nice touch.
-
I know that the nit-pickers wouldn't agree, but this is a great photo! The early photos that a person takes are always the best, before the critics kick in. I rode this train a couple of times in 1960; it's good to see it from trackside. Have you any more from the pre-Amtrak days?
-
What a great photo! It is an example of a perfect action shot. It has tension and tranquility, balance and imbalance! Holy Cow! Thank you for it.
