  1. The KCS Bridge

    The KCS Bridge

BNSF/NS interchange train from Atlanta to Alliance, TX approaches Justin TX back on BNSF rails. This train just came from the KCS (still has the KCS crew running it) at Metro Jct., TX.
  2. Got the signal

    Got the signal

The rock train finally gets the high green at the KCS interlocking at Jefferson, TX and heads south towards Marshall. The dark blue with gold stripes just looks good on this locomotive!
  3. Waiting for a signal....

    Waiting for a signal....

Still moving against the current between Texarkana and Marshall, TX, the rock train must have confused the UP dispatcher when it got to the KCS interlocker at Jefferson, TX. Here, the brakeman had to go to the signal bungalow to contact the DS to get a signal to cross the KCS.
  4. Its about time...

    Its about time...

The rock train's in the siding; the parade can now start by! UP at Kildare, TX between Marshall and Texarkana.
  5. Into the siding...

    Into the siding...

The rock train enters the siding at Kildare, TX. This is just one of three trains waiting for this guy to clear!
  6. UP Approaching Kildare

    UP Approaching Kildare

UP rock train approaches Kildare siding on the Marshall - Texarkana, TX line. This train is running "against the current" and has three trains backed up waiting for it to clear. The paint scheme is vaguely reminiscent of the old MoPac scheme - appropiate, as this is a former MP line!
  7. Family World

    Family World

A UP eastbound holds the main at Big Sandy TX. Family World is a "famous" resort (for those of you that travel highway 80 across Texas, anyway!) that holds dances "Every Monday, Thursday and Saturday" for all comers - and the ratio of women to men is about 3 to 1! Beware...
  8. That's Better!

    That's Better!

The more common sight at Atlanta; an eastbound UP merchandise rolls past the depot on the Marshall to Texarkana line.
