    A rare SD70ACe led coal train heads west at 6:54PM on 9/28/08 definately the best catch so far this fall. A thing to note even though rare this is just proof that it is possible to catch a Heritage Unit on a coal train!

    The best train of the day is the joint UP-KCS train the line is the Marysville Sub which sees the joint UP-BNSF Jeffrey Energy Center train which cut of to go to that power plant here.

    Finally I get to go railfanning there was a BNSF/NS led train behind this that I was waiting for but it didn't come till 12:48AM this was taken at about 8:58 just 2 minutes before curfuew Leading was UP 5936.

    An unknow numbered UP C44AC duo leads a coal train through the Manhattan Kansas yard at 10:36pm Note the flat cars in the foreground being stored for Fort Riley.

    An eastbound autorack train glides through Strong City Kan. well under the speed limit of 55mph. the train is led by BNSF 5242 a C44-9W and 2 of it's cousins all in H2 paint on the BNSF Rwy Strong City Subdivision.

    UP does something quite similar at Paxico Kansas I hate it when they make it look like the trains running longhood forward!!! great catch!!!!!
