    This was the ONLY RDC owned by the C&EI, built 10/55, ser# 6222. Sold to CN 8/64, re#' D109, re#'d 6109 in 1969, sold to VIA 1978, was still in svc as of 2/88. Too bad the photo doesn't show lettering/owner, would make it that much more valuable.

    40,000lbs+ of Alco 12/244 prime mover plus M.G. are swung away from FA-1 NH 0401 at the CVRM's storage yard in Old Saybrook, CT. on March 16, 1990. The prime mover was removed to facilitate the clean-up and painting of the 0401's interior carbody and a spruce-up of the prime mover itself. Un...

    Actually, it looks like engine coolant that has leaked out and frozen. The pink color comes from the conditioner (anti-rust) that is added to the coolant.

    SD50 6734 leads two sister units on NHSE in Middlefield, MA. nearing MP 129 on April 28, 1984. Coincidentally, the 6734 and 6739 were the first and last units of a consecutively numbered 6 unit group of SD50's assigned to the B&A in 1984. They were normally operated in two 3 unit sets.

    The only place you'll see an FL-9 running in Connecticut with any degree of regularity from now on is the Naugatuck RR (RMNE) out of Thomaston. CDOT/NH 2019 will be operating on the "Northern Lights Limited" the first 3 weekends in Dec., 2010.
