Last Light at Dutch...

An empty, eastbound coal train glides through Dutch, WY on its way back to the Powder River Basin.
Very imaginative composition which has worked very well. My only comment would be why not let the train get a little closer such that you dont have such a 'gap' in the middle of the picture ?

Good question. The train was stopped on the siding waiting to meet another train. Thus, the window of opportunity with the setting sun was VERY short. The crew left the lights on until I was done and headed back towards town. They turned off the lights as I passed.

Personally, I really like the location of the train in the shot. The point of this photograph is not the train, but the scene, which the train is just a small part of. I took other shots farther to the right with the train stretching across the photo and they do look nice also.

Thanks for the comments, Railfan. While the numbers provide some feedback, I find the comments much more useful.
