UP 9425 was "borrowed" to bring a unit grain onto the power strickened RVSC. To the author's knowledge, this was the first time a six axle unit had ever ventured onto the Mission branch. Both Mo-Pac and later UP didn't trust 6 axles on this particular line. This train will actually head up the former SP to reach Edinburg. It was brought into Mission to keep McAllen clear of congestion.

It is always great when a six axle unit is on a branch line, you will always remember it. It happen once for me when a 6 axle unit was sent to open the branch which had snow plugging the line. It also ran on 85 lb. steel.

Its a great picture to take as UP is on Rio Valley Switching Company line. Question is did Rio Valley really get behind the controls or did UP have there own engineers actually move it in? I take it this is by H83 near the frontage road by Halliburton. I recognize the area as I once worked for them in 2007. May Rio Valley always prosper.
