Southbound on train 568(Lillooet-North Vancouver) along Anderson Lake

Looks like a great trip along this run!

Going south out of Lillooet for the first 30 miles you run along Seton and Anderson Lakes. Both with beautiful scenery. Also the most dangerous 30 miles on the sub, rock slides are common along the lakes. When the line was built by the Pacific Great Eastern in the 1910's the line was carved out of sheer cliffs.

It's too bad passenger service along here was discontinued in 2002, the scenery here is great as it is on most of the sub. The only passenger train to run along here now is the land cruises that Rocky Mountaineer runs. The rail shuttle out of Lillooet usually only runs to Seton, about a mile and half north of where I took this picture.
