During the first 15 years after the BN merger a wide variety of power was used. Train 632 is leaving Vancouver BC enroute to Seattle Wa. with a GP9, F9B, & GP30. All are ex Great Northern units
Long before there was a Funnelfan, there was the funnel fleet--when multitudes of eastbound trains would charge out of Spokane's yardley terminal right before sunset. In 1991, one of the eastbound intermodal trains heels into a curve near Otis Orchards, Washington.
Seattle June 13 2003 This interesting car arrived in the Argo yard, went around the Y track and then parked off on a rarely used track. Sure would make a nice motorhome for a railfan!

Broad Street is the north end of the line for Seattle's waterfront trolley. The tracks are immediately adjacent to the BNSF main line. The trolley's ancenstry is Australian.
Yes, the sun does shine in Seattle. Last year (2002), it was on September 14. We were waiting for a special run of the Sounder to take us to the Puyallup Fair. Note the private car in EB colors on the siding.
