Big Sky Coal

After dropping to a crawl, the DPU of a north/east bound coal train crests the hill at Toluca, MT on BNSF's Big Horn Sub.

Climbing Parkman

A westbound coal train climbs Wyoming's Parkman hill in the wide open spaces just north of Sheridan. To make it up this hill, a pair of SD60Ms helpers is tacked on to the back of the DPU. October 16, 2002.

Family World

A UP eastbound holds the main at Big Sandy TX. Family World is a "famous" resort (for those of you that travel highway 80 across Texas, anyway!) that holds dances "Every Monday, Thursday and Saturday" for all comers - and the ratio of women to men is about 3 to 1! Beware...
