The old Port Huron and Detroit line now is operated by CSX. Here the daily train from the refinery heads for Port Huron yard, approaching the Detroit Edison Power Plant on the St. Clair River.

It's an old Detroit Edison Plant that is used now as a "peaker" or when they need extra juice for the grid during peak consumption demands. Coal used to come via rail, the other two powerplants on the line get it this way. Now it all comes from ship. Bummer. There used to be a Morton Salt Mine just south of the plant being served by rail, but that is all gone and now is an aggragate receiving area from ships as well.
