These rare birds TFM SD70MAC's never left the border of Mexico since they were manufactured in Mexico by EMD. TFM has 75 units of SD70MAC's and they have begun to show up in recent weeks on the KCS tracks in the USA and on some BNSF/UP Coal trains as pay back power. -dh

Nice catch & shot, I was lucky enough to catch one of these on the point of NS 220 in Birmingham, Al. last year. I remember when they were taking delivery of the SD70MAC'S & I saw a KCS train back in 2000 at Flatonia, Tx. headed for Mexico & on the rear of the train I saw a flat car loaded with a set of radial trucks & fuel tank for one of the SD70MAC'S they were building in Mexico
