On Nov. 8, 1980, SD40-2 6378 shoves a westbound across the origional construction (1840-1841) double stone arch at mile 128.25 in Chester, MA. on the old Boston & Albany. Coincidentally, the lead unit on this train was sister unit 6379.

Fantastic shot. I can imagine waiting there with the soothing sounds of the creek listening for the sound of Conrail power chugging closer through the valley.

I wonder what the response of the builders of that bridge would be if someone told them then that bridge would still be in use over a 100 years from when they built it.
