During my excursion up to the old Boston & Albany main last weekend, I spent most of my time surveying the 160-year-old bridges originally constructed under the leadership of engineer George Whistler. This bridge pictured is from that era, and is a double arch stone bridge; the stone arch bridges of Massachusetts are fantastic areas for photographic possibilities and railfanning.
