In January 1975 the Cleburne TX shops rebuilt it as a CF7 with the Cleburne angled cab roof and renumbered it 2486. It was retired on Jan 9 1986, sold to The Blue Mountain & Reading in September 2986 as BMRG 2486, later sold to Aberdeen & Rock Fish RR Co. as AR 2486 and then sold to Pee Dee River RR Corp as PDRR 2486
