This is my first time here in quite a long time. I'm glad to see Bill Anderson still around who I was able to meet up in Everett and always enjoyed his pictures. I used to post tons of photos here and on my website and then my ISP crapped on me and for the longest time, I had nowhere to post and not a lot of love to go railfanning if I couldn't share the pictures.
It all started when I decided to change my website to Coppermine albums. My ISP at the time started sending me messages that the databases were getting too big as I converted my pictures from the old site (static html pages) into Coppermine. Once I explained what I was doing, I got a cease and desist order as they claimed my user agreement did not allow me to post large amount of pictures. I ended up having to delete a lot fo the work I did online, but luckily I had the old site content backed up offline; just not the converted stuff.
I ended up looking around for a new ISP and found a great one now where I have my own virtual server. It is significantly more expensive every month, but I believe the end results are worth it. It took me over a year and a half to design the new site around the Coppermine albums and convert every locomotive, freight car, railroad museum, static railroad display, etc. pictures over from the old to the new. The premise of the new site was to not only serve as place to share all of my railfan pictures but also to a "one stop" site for railfan information, events, links, etc. The old railfan logs still don't work correctly as the new server doesn't seem to like Microsoft's MHTML which is why I have a new railfan log I have started using late last year.
I hope you all enjoy the new site and it is great to be back and railfanning more again. I will be starting to share pictures here again soon of my various trips. I hope to get my pictures posted from last Saturday up tonight, so I will begin sharing with those and there will be lots more to come. Here's the new site:
