Here the Portland & Western Railroad Hillsboro Job towards Seghers Mill on the ex-SP trackage to switch out some empty woodchip cars for some loaded ones and a few loaded centerbeams. Seems like they do this job now with just one unit and run long hood forward 1/2 of the time.
Built in 1968, it was a 52' gondola before CP decided to upgrade it to a woodchip car sometime in its life. In 1999 most of the series was retired, but a couple remained in MOW service. Don't remember where I read this, but apparently its used to transport ties for CP so that they can be sold...
I always liked woodchips for some reason. They're basically a gondola with very high sides. About a dozen or so were sitting at the Marathon Pulp & Paper Mill.
