I was in Puyallup, WA on St. Patricks Day doing some railfanning. The locomotive on the point of the Coast Starlight was #2007 as seen in the attached photo. It certianly stood out on such a drab day.

It looks like (the CDTX reporting marks are for the California Dept. of Transportation) Amtrak painted an Operation Lifesaver engine for themselves. The motto on the nose--"Stay off. Stay away. Stay alive."-- is for OLI's no-trespassing program.

The CDTX 2007 is a Capitol Corridor / San Joaquin Amtrak California Locomotive. I saw it running on the UP Martinez sub a few months ago. It was in regular commuter service.
