Between working and sleeping, I've found time to get out to a few less visited spots in my area recently. Here's what I've been able to get.
On a perfect evening, a westbound train of empty hoppers leaves the controlled siding at Archbold with a rare ex-LMS leader.
A few days later, I decided I needed another morning on the Nickel Plate. I was not disappointed.
A thick fog rolls in just as the sun comes up, while a classic bracket mast beckons to an eastbound that is still several miles away.
A short time later, a westbound stack train thunders into Miller City as the fog slowly burns away.
Later in the morning, an eastbound grain train crosses the IORY diamond in Leipsic with a classy looking leader.
After a cloud bank rolled through, the skies were once again clear as an eastbound roadrailer creeps through a 10 mph speed restriction in Leipsic.
Another good looking leader was seen on this eastbound mixed freight, seen splitting the NKP intermediates west of Leipsic.
